Day 1 Verona

Transfer from the airport to your hotel.

In the evening, you are in for the first treat of this tour: enjoy La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi at the stunning Arena di Verona. Transfer from the hotel to the Arena and back are included in your package.

Day 2 Verona

Enjoy a lazy start to your day. Later in the morning our local guide will meet you at the hotel and escort you in a private 2-hour walking tour of the city. Roman ruins, medieval vestiges, Venetian and Austrian traces can be seen all across the city of Verona, as well as antique palaces, squares, bridges and wonderful churches. In the historical centre, you will see Piazza Bra and the Arena, Piazza Erbe and Piazza dei Signori, Via Cappello and Corso Porta Borsari lead to the Teatro Romano, Ponte Pietra, Castelvecchio, the Ponte Scaligero and the ancient churches of San Fermo and Sant’Anastasia, the Cathedral (Duomo) and San Zeno.

Elegant cafés and ancient osterie (typical inns of the Veneto territory), artisan shops and high couture shops enliven city life all year long. Verona is a man-sized city which fascinates visitors with its elegance and its welcoming atmosphere, in which ancient and modern times meet.

The city’s past centuries of history and its past splendour are witnessed by its architectural and artistic masterpieces; its culture and art are well renowned on a national and international level. For this reason Verona was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 2000.

The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 3 From Verona to Venice

Check out from your hotel after breakfast and transfer to the train station. Ride the 1 hour high speed train to Venice. At arrival in Venice, meet our local guide for an orientation tour of this unique city and a ride to your hotel via water taxi.

In the evening you will be at the Scuola Grande di San Teodoro where I Musici Veneziani performs in the famous and exciting "The Four Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi: four concerts for violin and strings representing the scenes of nature in music, each inspired by each season of the year.

Day 4  Venice

Day at leisure. Venice, the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It has no roads, just canals – including the Grand Canal thoroughfare – lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica, which is tiled with Byzantine mosaics, and the Campanile bell tower offering views of the city’s red roofs.

Day 5 From Venice to Tuscany

After breakfast, transfer to the station and hop on the high speed train to Florence. Enjoy the ride through the flat land of Pianura Padana shaped by the Po river and through the Appennini mountains.

At arrival in Florence, meet our private driver for a transfer to your hotel in the town of Volterra.

Day 6 Tuscany

After breakfast meet our local guide at your hotel for a 2-hour guided tour of Volterra. This town’s well-preserved medieval ramparts give the windswept town a proud, forbidding air that author Stephenie Meyer deemed ideal for the discriminating tastes of the planet's principal vampire coven in her wildly popular Twilight series. Fortunately, the reality is considerably more welcoming, as a wander through the winding cobbled streets will attest.

Afternoon and evening at your leisure. Perhaps… enjoy one of the local restaurants that Antonio and his team will suggest to you in your departure package.

Day 7 Tuscany

Morning and afternoon at your leisure. This evening you will be enchanted by the most awaited concert of Andrea Bocelli, performing right in his Tuscany home town of Lajatico. Transfer from hotel to concert and back are included in your package.

Day 8 Tuscany

At your leisure

Day 9 Departure day
